Developing Health & Fitness Eating disorders have a major effect on health, including development of healthy bones (eating disorders are a "bone buster"). An eating disorder is when someone is very, very concerned (or obsessed) about wanting to be thin. This person will not get enough nutrition. Girls and young women may develop eating disorders as a result of different things, such as stress or feeling bad about how they look. Developing Health & Fitness: Be Your Best offers important thoughts about eating disorders and stress management.
