Introduction: Goals
Bone Builders focuses on the food, activity and lifestyle choices Girl Scouts can make to improve their bone health. Girl Scouts will:
- Understand the importance of having healthy bones.
and be able to:
- Identify food, activity and lifestyle choices that influence bone health.
- Identify calcium-containing foods.
- Identify physical activities which help to maximize bone mass.
- Plan and eat a balanced diet.
- Identify developmental issues that may influence bone health (such as body image and eating disorders).
