Bone Builders is an osteoporosis awareness program for girls and young women presented by the Southern California Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
This web site introduces Bone Builders to adult leaders who may be interested in presenting the program in their community. It is based on the training manual that will be given to adult leaders who will be responsible for administering the program. It may differ from the actual program materials used. The current format is being used by certain Girl Scout councils. Other groups are welcome to contact us to determine whether the materials can be modified to accommodate their organization.
We are "open during construction" to provide a preview of the program and have not blocked entry to the site prior to completion. As a result, certain information needs to be modified or corrected.
For further information, please contact Victoria Lau MPH at the Arthritis Foundation, Southern California Chapter, Orange County/Long Beach Branch, (714) 436-1623. Her temporary E-mail address for this project is BeABoneBuilder@netscape.net.
